We needed a mic better than anything for sale, so we designed one, from scratch.
This mic has a dynamic range of 107dB, with a frequency response from 27Hz to 20kHz, delivered as a 1-bit PDM stream configurable from 400kHz to 4.8MHz, ready to be decimated to 24-bit/48kHz, or whatever you need.
Built on the TDK T5837, the board features a rock-solid voltage regulator, ready for all of your 3.3V controllers, a full set of decoupling caps & a ferrite bead for noise reduction, a solder pad for L/R select, and the highest quality signal converters we could find, eliminating the need for pulldown resistors. Combine two on the same clock & data lines for a stereo stream.
It has a low-power mode, perfect for keyword wakeup, a high-quality mode for music, and an ultrasonic mode for your more exotic uses.
